First Time Ever...
Somewhere around 5 May 1983. Maybe a day earlier. Doesn't matter much.
I hadn't yet turned 13.

My primary school had an exchange programme with a school in Dinnington, near Sheffield.
That's how I ended up with the Family Flynn.
I was walking around wearing a Forest shirt when the man of the house noticed. A short, pleasant exchange followed... and before I knew it, we were off to Nottingham, for Nottingham Forest v Norwich City, on 7 May 1983.
My week was made.
Incidentally, the man of the house also played professional football himself — mainly for Sheffield United, and later for Rotherham United.
